Advocating for Children's Rights in Tanzania

Running Marzia Golden Manor has taught us something powerful: individual care matters enormously, but systemic change matters even more. That is why Golden Foundation has invested heavily in advocacy work alongside our direct service programs.

Training Programs for Orphanage Staff

This year, we held six training sessions for staff at orphanages across Dar es Salaam. Covering child psychology, trauma-informed care, and administrative best practices, these sessions have directly improved conditions for hundreds of children beyond our own home.

Policy Engagement

We have been actively engaged with the relevant government bodies to help shape more protective and progressive regulations for children's homes across Tanzania. Our recommendations — grounded in international best practices and local realities — have been welcomed and are under review.

Change takes time. But it is happening. And we will keep pushing.
